Chelsea have a bloated squad and a number of players that need to be offloaded are already being approached by some Saudi Pro League clubs.
The likes of Hakim Ziyech, Edouard Mendy, Kalidou Koulibaly, Romelu Lukaku and N'Golo Kante are all receiving lucrative offers from clubs such as Al Nassr, Al Ahli, Al-Hilal and Al-Ittihad.
Ben Jacobs explains that there is actually a reason for this.
Todd Boehly's private equity company Clearlake Capital has excellent relations with the Saudi Public Investment Fund, who own these four clubs.
Chelsea want to trim their squad and the PIF owned clubs want to populate the Saudi league with high profile stars to enhance their global appeal.
Clearlake Capital's ties with PIF helps these transfers be fluid and helps both parties achieve their ambitions in the transfer market.
