Jordan Henderson is reportedly looking to end his time at Al-Ettifaq after only joining them back in the summer transfer window last year.
However, as per CBS Sports’ Ben Jacobs, the Saudi club will only accept an astronomical offer to let him leave in January.
Al-Ettifaq want a significant profit on what they’ve invested on Henderson and are currently building their squad around him, so they won’t let him go easily.
With that being said, if they do sell him permanently, then Liverpool can actually benefit from the transfer. That’s because the Reds added a sell-on clause when selling him, and it’s quite a ‘healthy’ one too.
Hence, Jurgen Klopp might hope that Al-Ettifaq end up making big money on Henderson’s sale so that his side can profit from it too.
The Englishman has made 17 appearances in the Saudi Pro League this season, producing four assists.
