Frenkie De Jong's return from a hamstring injury remains UNKNOWN, Diario AS' Javi Miguel reports.
The midfielder tried to return for El Clasico and even participated in group training but he finished the session unfit. He tried again last week to make the Sociedad or Shakhtar game but suffered even more pain after training.
Xavi confirmed in his press conference on Friday that De Jong continues to suffer pain and will not feature in upcoming games.
Barca are against risking the Dutchman until he's 100% and that's why no return date has been set for his injury.
Without De Jong, Barca have struggled to be incisive and creative in midfield and struggled against Real Madrid and Real Sociedad last weekend.
Barca have missed De Jong since mid-September when he picked up the injury against Celta.
