There are no guarantees that David De Gea will remain Manchester United's first choice next season.
According to The Athletic, Erik ten Hag specifically wants a goalkeeper who is 'comfortable with playing out from the back'.
This has always been a major issue for the Spaniard with the Red Devils paying dearly for De Gea's distribution errors over the last few years.
However, Ten Hag is willing to consider 'financial implications' of bringing in a new shot-stopper and will not get in the way of the 32-year-old signing a new deal.
