According to Mundo Deportivo Barcelona have targeted Darwin Nunez.
The Catalans are looking at the 24-year-old as a potential long-term replacement for Robert Lewandowski after club president Joan Laporta announced his plans to change the attack this summer.
If the Catalans decide to close the gap the Liverpool star who has scored 31 goals in 52 appearances for the Reds is seen as his ideal successor.
Acquiring Nunez will cost Barca less wealth.
The Uruguayan market value stands at 70 million and the sale of Lewandowski alone will not suffice unless some Saudi side decide to pay 100 million for the 35-year-old.
